Radiopharmaceuticals What are radioimmunoassay and immunoradiometric analyses?
Hello, everyone! What is the difference between radioimmunoassay and immunoradiometric analysis?
To be honest, I always thought that it was the same thing, but now I read it and it turned out that the difference is that they IRMA analysis is more sensitive and has a wider working range than RIA
The main difference is that in radioimmunoassay labeled antigens are used, while in immunoradiometric analysis labeled antibodies are used
the illustration in the message above shows it very clearly 🙂
