Hello, everyone! Why women’s low oestrogen levels could be linked to risk of Covid-19? Do you have any biochemistry idea behind this?

Estrogen, unlike testosterone, reduces the expression of important proteins, such as the ACE 2 membrane enzyme and TMPRSS2 protease, which help SARS-CoV-2 to enter the cell.
