It's not entirely clear what you mean
Researchers at the Vienna Center for Physiology and Pharmacology MedUni have discovered a central signaling pathway in immune cells that could help develop a new therapeutic approach. Their study was recently published in the journal Cell Reports.
The immune system protects the body from infections of all kinds and is designed to distinguish between external threats and body tissues. T cells, replicating in the order of other immune cells, dendritic cells, are an important component of the immune system. Dendritic cells are responsible not only for activating T cells, but also for inactivating them, primarily to prevent them from attacking body tissues. This mechanism, known as immune tolerance, is key to modern treatments for autoimmune diseases that use certain pharmaceutical agents (JAK inhibitors). The goal is to suppress the activity of T cells against internal structures in order to slow the progression of the autoimmune disease.
@argentum I meant how and at what degree an influence to this pathway could affect the autoimmune diseases?
@morphism A research team led by Gernot Shapur and Omar Sharif from the Institute of Vascular Biology and Thrombosis Research at the Vienna Center for Physiology and Pharmacology Midoni investigated the specific effect of JAK inhibitors on dendritic cells and, in particular, the role played by immune tolerance.
thanks, very informative information
