I've seen that both of this compounds is used in organic synthesis as reductants. Do they have any differences? Which one is the most common one?

Sodium borohydride is of course more common. However, the lithium analog is soluble in THF, which is convenient to use for the homogeneous reduction of non-polar compounds.
