Which bacteria are killed by amoxicillin?

Hi. Inhibits one or more enzymes (known as penicillin-binding proteins) in the biosynthesis of bacterial peptidoglycan, which is a unifying structural component of the bacterial cell wall. Inhibition of peptidoglycan synthesis leads to a thinning of the cell wall, which subsequently leads to lysis and cell death.

@morphism One of the stages of the ribosome elongation cycle during protein synthesis; during T., aminoacyl-tRNA in the A-region of the ribosome reacts with peptidyl-tRNA in the P-region, which is accompanied by the transfer of the C-terminus of the polypeptide to the aminoacyl-tRNA; As a result, the peptidyl-tRNA tRNA residue occupies the A-site, and the resulting tRNA - the P-site.
